EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS’ MESSAGE

FROM OUR DIRECTOR

I bring you warm greetings from Management and the Board of Young Visionary Leaders Ghana (YVLG). YVL is a youth-led Non-Governmental Organization which was established on the 6th march, 2015 in Accra Amasaman Ghana. It was registered with the government of Ghana at the Registrar General Department Accra, under the company act, 1963(act 179) with the registration number CG027002016 and the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection under the department of Social Development with the Registration Number d.s.d/7000.

As a recognized National Non-Profit and Grass Root Organization that works in the thematic areas of Education SDG4, Water SDG6, Child / Youth Empowerment, Health SDG3, Social Protection and Accountability SDG10, we have for the past eight (8) years initiated and implemented life changing and development programs that transform and inspire the lives of venerable children and young people in the deprived communities we work with in Ghana. We seek to empower lives and create a society where everyone most especially children and young people have access to basic human rights and needs. The YVL works with communities in identifying solutions to their problems with the overall aim of contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) the 2030 Agenda.

Mother Theresa once said, “”We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.”

For us at YVL we believe that the little we do in our small way contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development of our communities, country, Africa and the world at large.

Our work over the years has placed us among the most sought after Youth-Led Organizations in Ghana for the provision of improved social services (Access to quality Education, Access to Potable drinking Water, Child and Youth Development Support Systems) for the marginalized children and young people we work with. We envisage our work will continue to enhance child/youth development, Social Protection, Social Service Delivery, good governance and accountability.

Our organizational governance prioritizes the interest of our stakeholders including our partners and donors and assures that YVL Ghana as an organization established on their behalf and is indeed serving their best interests. Projects we undertake are geared towards the achievement of our vision.

SDGs

The Sustainable Development Goals are big to-do list; we believe one cannot achieve the SDGs without partnership as the SDG17 seeks to achieve by 2030. Partnership for the goals is the only way we can achieve the SDGs. Strengthening the means of implementation and revitalize partnership for sustainable development remains our top priority.

As the Director of Young Visionary Leaders, I strongly believe that it’s our duty and responsibility to give back to the society in which we live, in return of the many things we avail from it in our day-to day lives. YVL Ghana as an organization stems from this root belief. I and my team’s quest to serve the destitute gives us the strength to work with full dedication, sincerity and honesty. We dream to see a Ghana where every child and young person have access to basic human rights and needs with this little initiative of ours and know that our dreams will bear fruit soon as we are not alone.  We welcome you to use this website as a resource to learn more about the important work of the YVL. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at our offices and events. Together we can make Ghana, Africa and the world a place we are all proud to call home.

On behalf of the Board, I wish to thank all Partners, Donors, Sponsors, Volunteers and our stakeholders who have supported our noble course in many different ways.

Feel welcome to join us in this noble cause.

Best Wishes !!!
